Kitchen renovating tips...
-Plan your kitchen in such a way that you can move about comfortably in your kitchen from storage, cooking, workspace, waste handling to washing up.
-It is better to position the sink, fridge and cooktop so that they form a triangle. They should not be more than 7m apart from each other and should form a triangle.
-The design of your kitchen also depends on your right or left handedness.
-The first things set up in your kitchen should be the sink, dishwasher and drainage.
-Ideally the sink should be placed near a window for convenient drainage and natural sunlight.
-It is preferable to have the dishwasher near the crockery and cutlery and away from any doorways and stove so that it can be loaded easily.
-The food preparation area should be between the sink and the stove.
-The appliances, benchtops, sinks and cabinetry should be fitted in such a way that it allows opening of drawers, doors and easy movement.
-Most of the kitchens already have service points for major appliances. If you want to change these points, they can work out to be very expensive. However, if budget is not an issue, then go all out and change it as per your taste.
-While at it you can also install a few extra service points as doing them after the whole kitchen is done will be pricey.
-Do not position a cooking unit or a workspace in a corner.
